✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

This set our PCSOs have been in the Fordbridge Community Centre for a family fun day. We saw many of you attend and speak to our officers, which is what we love to see – it was awesome being there, and interacting with so many of you. We have also been on the bus interchange enforcing the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO), ensuring that all individuals remain compliant of its conditions, as well as educating people on what these are. Our PCSOs have also been on the town centre at Lily’s Tea Parlour hosting a Cuppa with a Coppa, which saw a few of our community members speak to us for advice, or just for a chat, which is always nice to see!

🚨 Crime & Safety Updates — What You Need to Know 🚨

🔎 Recent Incidents/Trends:

Due to a slight increase in burglaries, we’d like to remind you to ensure all doors are locked, ladders are stored away, and valuables are kept out of view from people on the outside.

We have also noticed Theft from Motor Vehicles and Theft of Motor Vehicles has slightly risen – due to this, we are reminding people to lock their cars, remove any valuables from the inside, and ensure that you do not leave your vehicle unattended when it is running, or unlocked, even for a few minutes.

💬 To help us combat theft from/of motor vehicle, please make sure your vehicle is locked, secure, and nothing of value is visible from the outside to deter opportunistic offenders from damaging your vehicle to get to anything you may have left in view. Prevention is key; steering locks are inexpensive and easily found in local motoring shops, or through a reliable online retailer. You should also place any keyless entry vehicle keys in a faraday pouch to prevent relay theft - these are also inexpensive and easily found through online retailers, or at any of our drop-in sessions where we regularly give them out.
